2022 Virtual Conference – Save the dates; Submit a Conference Proposal
Tuesday, May 24 and Wednesday, May 25
To ensure the health and safety of our attendees – and to be able to plan in these uncertain times – the NYSTAA Executive Board has decided to host the 2022 annual conference virtually again.
Call for Proposals!
Throughout the pandemic, we’ve seen a shift in the modality of coursework and how we offer services. An increase in students’ mental health concerns. The start of student emergency funds and a focus on meeting students’ basic needs. Increase in financial aid assistance. How have we supported the academic transition of students – while also being mindful of the WHOLE transfer student experience?
NYSTAA welcomes proposals for the annual conference for virtual sessions. Collaborative proposals with colleagues across campus encouraged.
Traditional presentations, panel sessions, or virtual round table discussion formats welcome.
Proposal deadline: March 16, 2022
NYSTAA congratulates NETA on 50 years!
The New England Transfer Association (NETA) celebrates 50 years as an organization in 2021! Erin Rickman, President, on behalf of NYSTAA, extended congratulations and best wishes.
“For five decades, NETA has been a leader on working to improve the transfer experience between two- and four-year public and private colleges and universities. In the early 1990s, as professionals in New York began the discussions of forming a state-wide transfer organization, they looked at NETA as the model, and from there, NYSTAA was born.”
We look forward to many more years of collegial collaboration between our two organizations as we both strive to improve the transfer process and the success of students!
